Level 2 Industrial Tomography Certification UNI EN ISO 9712:2022
Stefano Benuzzi – NDT manager – and Fabio Esposito – R&D manager – appointed Grandfather CT
With the new edition of the UNI EN ISO 9712:2022 standard in effect as of October 2, 2023, the Industrial Computerized Tomography (CT) technique is officially among the methods also recognized by ACCREDIA, which means that it will be possible to obtain personnel certification for tomographic inspection, as is already the case for other nondestructive testing methods.
In Sideius ( TEC Eurolab laboratory ) we have been involved in industrial tomography for more than 10 years, during which time we have acquired important skills and technical know-how, developing a tomography center with specialized personnel and state-of-the-art machinery.
We are therefore very honored to report that, for their experience and expertise, Stefano Benuzzi – NDT Manager – and Fabio Esposito – R&D Manager – have received the designation of Grandfather CT, allowed by the UNI EN ISO 9712:2022 standard and recognized by ACCREDIA for new analysis techniques, which allows those who have it to perform the 1st and 2nd level CT examinations in accordance with 17024.
Thanks to these appointments, our Valor Certification Body is among the first in Italy to be able to certify level 2 tomography personnel.
