Characterization of metallic materials

CHARACTERIZE AND VALIDATE YOUR METAL MATERIAL THROUGH CHEMICAL AND MECHANICAL ANALYSIS

We can determine the quality, strength and reliability of your product .

TEC Eurolab

Using advanced machinery, such as plasma emission spectrometry (ICP), we analyze any type of metal alloy in any form. Likewise, we can characterize the physical-mechanical properties of metallic materials used in the mechanical industry. Through the use of universal frames for static tests, pendulums for impact tests, fatigue testing machines, and frames for creep tests, TEC Eurolab can provide all the necessary information for engineering to optimize the use of materials in the main fields of mechanics, from Aerospace to Automotive, from Oil&Gas to classical metallurgy.

FAQ – METAL ANALYSIS

What is the minimum amount of sample needed to perform a chemical analysis?

It depends on the type of material you want to analyze and the level of accuracy you want to achieve. With just a few grains, however, it is possible to identify the family to which the material belongs and, with a few grams, to obtain an accurate and reliable analysis.

Which is more accurate: quantometer analysis or plasma analysis (ICP)?

Both techniques allow for accurate and reliable results: the quantometer allows for analysis in just a few minutes, but requires a flat surface with a thickness of at least 6 mm and, depending on the instrument setting, analyzes only certain families of metal alloys; plasma, on the other hand, requires significantly longer times, but is capable of analyzing any type of alloy, after solubilization, and in any form, e.g., whether it is massive, chip or powder.

Approximately how much does a failure analysis cost?

Failure Analysis is a type of testing that does not allow for “pricelist” evaluations. Almost every case of breakage or damage is a unique case that is evaluated on a case-by-case basis in terms of economic quotation, by the sales department in cooperation with technical managers.
