The newly available DIONDO D7 6 MEV LINAC Computed Tomography system has been developed for the reliable analysis of objects that are difficult to penetrate due to their high density or thickness.

Beside power, long focal distance and small detector pixel pitch allow to reach optimal resolutions limiting geometric magnification and therefore avoiding unsharpness.

Complete engine blocks, inconel turbine blades and large additive components can be properly analyzed with this new system, 10 times more powerful than any other CT system in Italy and almost unique in the worldwide service market.

Computerized industrial tomography (Industrial CT X-Ray scan) is an advanced non-destructive testing method. This technology allows for 3D virtual images to be captured of the analyzed component, along with all its defects and internal and external geometry, with micrometric definition and precision. RX tomography is the natural evolution of radioscopy and digital radiography.This evolution is thus the capturing of the three dimensions of the analyzed object, instead of a simple 2D image of radiographic projections. The 3D volume, which is calibrated dimensionally, makes it possible to not only analyze and measure qualitatively, but also quantitatively. In particular, having a three dimensional image of the component, it is possible to virtually scan over any section and analyze internal details of a defect or its dimensional characteristics.
