Institutional Accreditation is the qualification instrument through which the Emilia-Romagna Region intends to characterize the belonging to the High Technology Network of Emilia-Romagna, enhancing the ability to professionally respond to the needs of external clients, formed by regional companies and other stakeholders, public and private, which need external support for research and innovation.

The High Technology Network of Emilia-Romagna, made up of industrial research laboratories and centers for innovation, brings together academic institutions and public research centers of the region to provide expertise, tools and resources to the production system. The project is part of development strategies and promotion of innovation that Emilia-Romagna Region has launched since 2002,  to strengthen the processes of change in the local production system: it is the support measures promoted through the Regional Program for Industrial Research, Innovation and Technology Transfer (PRRIITT).

The Network includes research laboratories, industrial and innovation centers located throughout the territory of Emilia-Romagna, operating in the following areas: Agribusiness, Construction, Energy Environment, ICT and Design, Mechanical Materials, Life Sciences.

Coordination of the Network, organized in thematic platforms, is assigned to ASTER, non-profit consortium, and has design and coordination of activities for the development of industrial research, transfer of knowledge and technological expertise to the production sector, the preparation of human capital for innovation, with a local, national and international range of action.

TEC Eurolab is part of this network to provide and make available technological expertise with high added value. TEC Eurolab is part of the Materials Mechanics platform that provide to support all companies that have industrial research issues related to optimization of products and processes, development and characterization of materials and overall, improving efficiency and productivity.
