Founded in 1990 by Paolo Moscatti and Alberto Montagnani, TEC Eurolab Srl started its activities as a small workshop, in two rooms, totaling 90 square meters in the central area of Modena. In 1993 TEC Eurolab Srl was accredited by SINAL (today ACCREDIA), becoming in fact the smallest accredited laboratory in Italy. The following year, it was decided to transfer in Campogalliano (near Modena). The choice was strategic both in terms of new spaces, 350 square meters, both in terms of geographical location: the intersection of highways A22 and A1, easy to be reached from all major centers of the neighboring provinces.
However, what was decisive for the future development of TEC Eurolab Srl, was the growing awareness that companies need to find "core competencies" of materials and processes, in order to optimize both products and production costs associated with materials, processes, treatments.
From there it began a virtuous path, made of continuous specialization and training of staff, investments in advanced equipment as well as in qualifications and accreditations that make TEC Eurolab Srl a unique case at national level. In fact, in later years, in addition to SINAL accreditation TEC Eurolab Srl obtained the SIT accreditation as calibration center, SINCERT accreditation for the certification of welding personnel, SINCERT accreditation for the certification of personnel involved in non-destructive testing (all these accreditations are today under the aegis of their respective departments of ACCREDIA which, since 2010, is the sole National Accreditation Body in Italy. In 2010, TEC Eurolab Srl obtained the NADCAP accreditation for testing of materials and processes in the aerospace and defense fields.
The current seat of TEC Eurolab Srl (Viale Europa 40, Campogalliano, Modena), inaugurated in 2002, now covers an area of 2,100 square meters plus 1,200 square meters of the Industrial Metrology department opened in 2008 (Via Zamboni, 60, Campogalliano, Modena). In the same year the administrative offices are moved to Via Zamboni 60, at the upper floor offices.
The crisis occured in late 2008 that affected all those industries, for whom TEC Eurolab Srl provides his services, determined a change in the company policy. We proceeded to a territorial diversification based on the acquisition of laboratories in other geographical areas. This policy of expansion has led to the acquisition of 100% of ALPILAB (Turin) and 90% of LAB.MET (Pordenone) and the founding of TEC Eurolab Shanghai.
In the same period, TEC Eurolab Srl entered in the capital of TEC STAR, start-up founded by some researchers from the Department of Physics, of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, a company that deals with applied research in the field of nano particles.
In TEC Eurolab Srl today there are 55 technicians, with various skills: Materials Engineers, Chemistry Degrees, Physics Degrees, Metallurgists, Specialists in Corrosion, Welding Technologists, Specialists in non-destructive testing. Our technicians have at their disposal the most modern equipment for the investigation of materials: spectrometers, optical and electronic microscopes, gas analyzers, materials testing equipment, chambers for accelerated corrosion tests, radiographic and radioscopic testing equipment, dimensional inspection equipment, stations for the calibration of measuring instruments.

1993 The SINAL Accreditation (now: Accredia) is obtained, to perform laboratory tests
1994 Eurolab moves to Campogalliano - address: in Via della Resistenza
1996 A new service starts: calibration of measuring instruments.
1997 Eurolab Garanzia Qualità Srl succeeds to Eurolab Snc in the laboratory management.
1998 The SIT Accreditation (now: Accredia) is obtained as Calibration Centre.
1999 The welding Technology service starts: qualification of procedures, welders, operators.
2000 The Non Destructive Testing service starts.
2001 ISO 9001:2000 certification is obtained
2002 Eurolab Garanzia Qualità Srl moves to the new location in Viale Europa 40, Campogalliano: 1,300 square meters covered.
2004 Alenia Aeronautica recognition is obtained.
2004 Boeing Company approval is obtained.
2005 The SINCERT Accreditation (now: ACCREDIA) is obtained for the certification of welding personnel and for non-destructive testing personnel with the ability to issue the related licences.
2005 Eurolab Garanzia Qualità Srl becomes TEC Eurolab Srl and the related trademarke is registered at Comunitary Level.
2006 The seat of Viale Europa is extended with additional 800 square meters.
2008 The Industrial Metrology Division and the administrative offices are moved to the new production unit in Via Zamboni 60 Campogalliano (1,200 square meters), while the departments of Materials Technology, Welding Technology and Non Destructive Testing as well as the Management remain in Viale Europa 40. The two sites are connected via radio link.
2009 TEC Eurolab Srl acquires the 40% of corporate quote of LabMet: metallurgical laboratory located in Maniago (PN).
2009 TEC Eurolab Srl acquires the 70% of corporate quote of ALPILAB: metallurgical laboratory located in Buttigliera Alta, in the immediate outskirts of Turin.
2010 The NADCAP accreditation is obtained for testing in the aerospace and defense.
2011 Acquisition of 100% of corporate quote of ALPILAB
2011 Acquisition of 90% of corporate quote of LAB.MET
2011 TEC Eurolab Shanghai is founded.
