WHY CHOOSING AN INDUSTRIAL RESEARCH LABORATORY ACCREDITED TO THE HIGH TECHNOLOGY NETWORK OF EMILIA-ROMAGNA?
Because the research laboratories accredited to the the High Technology Network of Emilia-Romagna offer to the business system structures and skills that meet the requirements that guarantee the excellence of industrial research activity.
Because they carry out updated research as regards technologies and production systems to find concrete solutions to specific business problems.
Because the High Technology Network enhances at industrial level the research results and serves as an incubator of new ideas and solutions for use by businesses to innovate products, process technologies and organizational forms.
Laboratories accredited to the High Technology Network:
• They adopt criteria for organization, planning and management that ensure the enterprise on the progress of the research with a constant tracking of cost / income ratio of the activities carried out in collaboration with companies and / or external users.
• They provide enterprise skills and expert human resources not only in the technological-scientific, but also for what concerns the application of new industrial technologies and able to manage projects of industrial research and innovation activities and technology transfer in collaboration with external users.
• They have equipment constantly subject to appropriate maintenance programs and the staff participates in regular training programs.
• They work in collaboration with other structures of the network, of the same Platform as well as related to the other Platforms and then have access to transversal skills useful to the research
• They are part of technological research networks, national and international and they are able to activate collaborations on a European scale.

Institutional Accreditation is the qualification instrument through which the Emilia-Romagna Region intends to characterize the belonging to the High Technology Network of Emilia-Romagna, enhancing the ability to professionally respond to the needs of external clients, formed by regional companies and other stakeholders, public and private, which need external support for research and innovation.
The High Technology Network of Emilia-Romagna, made up of industrial research laboratories and centers for innovation, brings together academic institutions and public research centers of the region to provide expertise, tools and resources to the production system. The project is part of development strategies and promotion of innovation that Emilia-Romagna Region has launched since 2002, to strengthen the processes of change in the local production system: it is the support measures promoted through the Regional Program for Industrial Research, Innovation and Technology Transfer (PRRIITT).
The Network includes research laboratories, industrial and innovation centers located throughout the territory of Emilia-Romagna, operating in the following areas: Agribusiness, Construction, Energy Environment, ICT and Design, Mechanical Materials, Life Sciences.
Coordination of the Network, organized in thematic platforms, is assigned to ASTER, non-profit consortium, and has design and coordination of activities for the development of industrial research, transfer of knowledge and technological expertise to the production sector, the preparation of human capital for innovation, with a local, national and international range of action.
